You’re on a roof.
It’s ringing.
That job just went to someone else.

Etvora answers the calls you can’t. A natural Australian voice takes the name, the number, the address and what’s actually wrong — then texts you the lot before you’ve climbed back down the ladder. You keep your own number.

01 / the problem

Three rings and it’s gone

You’re driving. You’re under a sink. You’re on a ladder, or mid-quote with another customer, or it’s 9pm on a Saturday and you’ve finally sat down. The phone rings. You look at it. You let it go.

VOICEMAIL

Nobody leaves one

Most callers hang up and dial the next tradie on the list. You never find out they called, so you never know what you lost.

AFTER HOURS

The good jobs ring late

Burst pipes and dead hot water don’t wait for business hours. Whoever picks up first usually gets the work.

ANSWERING SERVICES

Humans cost what they cost

Traditional answering services run hundreds a month and still just read you a message. And they can’t tell a dripping tap from a gas leak.

We’re not going to quote you a made-up statistic about missed calls. You already know what one costs.

02 / how it works

Three steps. Ten minutes. You keep your number.

No new handset, no porting, no app to learn. Your existing number stays exactly where it is.

STEP 01

We give you a second number

A local Australian number, registered and set up by us. It’s only ever used to receive forwarded calls — your customers never see it, they only ever see the number they dialled.

STEP 02

Forward the calls you can’t take

Dial a short code on your mobile once. Calls you answer behave exactly as they do now. Only the ones you miss go to Etvora.

**61*+612XXXXXXXX#

No answer → Etvora. That’s the whole setup.

STEP 03

Get the details by text

Etvora answers in a natural Australian voice, works out what the caller needs, and texts you the name, number, address, the job and how urgent it is. The recording and full transcript are in your dashboard.

FORWARDING CODES · DIAL ON YOUR MOBILE, THEN PRESS CALL

**61*+612XXXXXXXX#  when you don’t answer **67*+612XXXXXXXX#  when you’re on another call
**62*+612XXXXXXXX#  when you’re off or out of range ##61#  cancel it any time

Works on Telstra, Optus and Vodafone postpaid. Some prepaid plans don’t support conditional forwarding — we test your number with you during setup and tell you straight if it won’t work. Standard call charges from your own plan still apply to forwarded calls.

03 / a real call

This is actual output, not a mockup

Both calls below were handled by the system as it stands today. The agent’s words, the response times and the summary are real. Tap a tab to switch between an ordinary job and a life-safety call.

Inbound · forwarded call answered

Caller lines are scripted test input. Every agent response, every +ms figure and every summary below is unedited system output, measured on a development machine — production response times will differ.

Texted to the owner

04 / what you get

More than a message. A job sheet.

Structured details, not a ramble

Name, callback number, job type, address and urgency — pulled out of the conversation and sent as fields you can act on, not a paragraph you have to read twice.

Texted to you in seconds

The summary lands on your mobile moments after the caller hangs up. Readable one-handed, between jobs, without opening a laptop.

Full recording and transcript

Every call, word for word, with the audio. For when you need to hear exactly how they described the fault, or what they said the access was like.

Knows a real emergency

Gas, fire, injury, electrocution. Etvora stops taking details, tells the caller to ring Triple Zero, and flags the call to you as life-safety. See the second tab above.

Speaks your trade

We tune the speech recognition with your terminology — tempering valve, backflow device, GPO, slab leak — so it doesn’t transcribe the job as gibberish.

Every call in one place

A dashboard of who rang, when, about what, and whether you’ve called them back. The leads you used to never know about, now in a list.

WHAT IT WON’T DO

No made-up prices. No fake promises.

Etvora will not quote a price it hasn’t been given, will not promise an arrival time, and will not pretend to be you. It takes the message accurately and tells them you’ll ring back — because a wrong quote costs you far more than a missed call does.

05 / pricing

Less than one job. Every month.

All prices in Australian dollars and include GST. Monthly — cancel any time. The phone number is included, not charged on top.

How the minutes work. A minute is any call Etvora answers, counted in 30-second steps. Calls you answer yourself cost nothing — you’re only ever charged for the ones you couldn’t take. Extra minutes come out of a prepaid balance you top up when you like; it never expires. We will never hang up on a live call because a balance ran out. If you run dry we’ll text you, and politely decline new calls until you top up.

06 / the fine print we’re happy to show you

Your callers are told the truth. Every time.

An AI that pretends to be a person is a liability, not a feature. These aren’t settings you can switch off — they’re built in.

It always says it’s an AI

Every call opens by naming your business, saying it’s your virtual assistant, and noting the call may be recorded. No caller is ever tricked into thinking they’ve reached a person.

Australian Consumer Law s18 — misleading or deceptive conduct

It always discloses the recording

Announced at the start of every call, in words, before anyone says anything useful. Recordings are yours to keep or delete.

Privacy Act 1988 & state surveillance devices legislation

It knows when to stop and say 000

If a caller describes something life-threatening, Etvora abandons the message-taking, tells them to hang up and call Triple Zero, and flags you immediately. It is not an emergency service and never presents itself as one.

We tell you where your data goes

An Australian business, on Australian infrastructure. Call audio is processed by our telephony and speech vendors, which means it does leave the country — we say exactly who and why in the privacy policy rather than burying it.

07 / questions

The things tradies actually ask us

Do I have to change my phone number?

No. This is the whole point. Your mobile or landline stays exactly as it is. We give you a second Australian number and you set up call forwarding, so only the calls you can’t answer reach Etvora. Your customers still dial the number they’ve always dialled, and still see it on their phone.

Will call forwarding work on my carrier?

Conditional call forwarding works on Telstra, Optus and Vodafone postpaid plans. Some prepaid plans don’t support it at all, and a few cheaper MVNOs restrict it.

We test your number with you during setup — it takes about two minutes — and if it won’t work we’ll tell you before you pay for anything. Note that your own plan’s call charges still apply to forwarded calls.

What happens if someone calls about a real emergency?

If the caller describes an immediate threat to life — a gas leak, a fire, an injury, an electrocution — Etvora stops collecting details straight away, tells them to hang up and call Triple Zero on 000, ends the call, and flags it to you as a life-safety call with top-priority notification.

You can see this happen in the “Gas leak” tab above. That transcript is real, unedited output.

Etvora is not an emergency service and must never be relied on as one. That’s written into our terms of service.

Does it tell callers it’s a machine?

Always, and you can’t turn it off. Every call opens with something like “Hi, you’ve reached Blue Ribbon Plumbing. I’m their virtual assistant and this call may be recorded. How can I help you today?”

Beyond being the lawful thing to do, it works better: callers who know they’re talking to an assistant give clearer details and don’t waste time on small talk.

What does it sound like?

A natural Australian English voice. It can be interrupted mid-sentence like a real person, it doesn’t talk over you, and it filters out background noise and the “yeah, yep, uh-huh” that would otherwise confuse it.

We’ll play you a sample during setup so you can approve the voice and the greeting before it ever answers one of your customers.

Can it quote prices or book jobs?

Not in this version, and deliberately. Etvora captures what the caller needs, how urgent it is and how to reach them, then tells them you’ll ring back. It will not invent a price or promise an arrival time, because a wrong quote costs you a lot more than a returned call does.

Calendar and field-service integrations (ServiceM8, Simpro, Jobber) are on the roadmap. If that’s the feature that would make this a yes for you, tell us — it genuinely changes what we build next.

What if I run out of minutes?

Extra minutes are drawn from a prepaid balance at your plan’s overage rate (85c, 75c or 65c per minute). You top up whenever you like and the balance never expires.

We will never cut off a call that’s already in progress. If your balance runs out we text you straight away and politely decline new calls until you top up. Dropping a caller mid-sentence is the one thing we won’t do.

Is there a contract or lock-in?

No. Plans are monthly and you can cancel any time — just stop the forwarding and you’re back to how things were, with nothing to uninstall. Annual plans are cheaper and we’ll refund the unused months if you leave.

Is it GST inclusive? Do I get a proper invoice?

Yes to both. Every price shown includes GST, and every invoice carries our ABN, the invoice number, the line items and the GST component shown separately — so your accountant can claim it without emailing us.

What happens to my call data?

Recordings, transcripts and summaries are stored on Australian infrastructure and are yours: you can export them or have them deleted at any time. Recordings are kept for 30 days, 90 days or 12 months depending on your plan.

We’re straight with you about one thing: the voice processing itself is handled by our telephony and speech partners, so call audio does leave Australia. We name every one of them in the privacy policy rather than hiding it behind “trusted third parties”.

08 / get set up

Talk to a person.
